Cast members of the critically acclaimed stage show Lord of the Dance has put together a brilliant video of their iconic Irish dance routine but with a quarantine-twist.

While dancers across the globe have been forced into isolation during this pandemic, this hasn’t stopped these dancers coming together virtually to perform the dance routine ‘Warlords’ like never before.

This latest video from the Lord of the Dance crew sees cast members having much-needed craic from the homes while recreating one of the show’s most iconic pieces. Full of humorous takes as well as great leg work, it’s a slice of something fun for your day.

‘This #LordOfTheDance #IrishDance video is dedicated to all the medical personnel and essential services working on the front line to keep us safe during #Covid19. You are the true heroes. #DanceForHope,’ the team wrote on their Facebook page.

The clips were all filmed by the dancers themselves and their families. Included in the new video are Andrea Papp-Kren, Zoltan Papp, Mary Mirasola, Cathal Keaney, Connor Smyth, Matt Smith (and his mam Debbie Norman), and James Keegan.

The Lord of the Dance team has also been doing fantastic live videos for Irish dancers who would like to keep up their dance training or indeed are a bit curious to take one some steps themselves. Maith sibh!
