It’s finally here! Ireland’s Junior Eurovision Song 2021.
Representing Ireland in this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Paris on December 19th is 14-year-old Maiú Levi Lawlor from Greystones, Co. Wicklow. Here is Maiú performing the song that will hopefully see him secure the title for Ireland:
Competing against 19 other countries, he will be hoping that his Irish language song ‘Saor’ will win the prestigious event for Ireland.
His song is about teenagers emerging from the struggles of our COVID lockdown and how they will now live life to the full. Their spirit can never be crushed.
Maiú triumphed at ‘Junior Eurovision Éire’ and during the Grand Final had to perform two cover songs in front of a distinguished panel of judges including Eurovision legend Linda Martin, radio presenter Niamh Ní Chróinín, and Fiachna Ó Braonáin of the band Hothouse Flowers.
Join Louise Cantillon and judge Niamh Ní Chróinín on TG4 on December 19th at 3pm to cheer Maiú on. Online voting details coming soon. Can Maiú go on and claim Eurovision glory for Ireland?

When was Maiú born?
